movie news: Anchorman 2 teaser trailer released

You may remember back in March it was announced that there will would a sequel to Anchorman. It was a project that had been lounging in development hell for a long time but things had finally come together and Paramount have green-lit the return of the KVWN-TV Channel 4 Evening News Team.

Well it seems now that it’s on, it’s really on. Anchorman 2 isn’t set to grace our screens till 2013 at the earliest but already we have a teaser trailer for those who just can’t wait.

All the gang are back, with Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Steve Carell all set to reprise their roles. No firm word yet on any of the rest of the cast but Luke Wilson is also rumoured to be back in the fray.

I loved the Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, thought it was one of the funniest comedies of the decade, so here’s hoping that the guys can bring back the old magic. What do you think of the trailer? Are you looking forward to a sequel from the boys?
