movie news: Box Art revealed for the Marvel Cinematic Universe Box Set

Marvel have revealed the disc sleeve art for the super mega awesome Marvel Cinematic Universe – Phase One: Avengers Assembled box set.

It’s a bit of a mouthful alright. I’m going to call it MCUPOAA for the rest of this post.

The MCUPOAA is due out on September 25 and has all the things. All the things. More specifically it’s blu-ray only and it’ll have the films plus a full bonus disc of “classified information” called… wait for it… the Phase One Archives. So that’s why it’s called Phase One. This of course relates to the references to the mysterious Phase Two mentioned in Avengers Assemble.

More importantly though, if you have a look at the preview of the set… it comes in a S.H.I.E.L.D containment case. With a Tesseract. A load of top-secret dossiers that they apparently can’t tell us about just yet. They released a trailer for it at the end of June so have a look below.

There’s little word on what the bonus materials are but they have mentioned a new Marvel One-Shot called Item 47, like the ones they had for Agent Coulson that were included on the previously BD releases. You can see a mad short clip of Item 47 here.

The MCUPOAA looks awesome.
